Viking Union Ritual

The binding ritual is a process that consists of different parts. Everything is taken into account,
from spending as much time as needed to get to know the coupe and create a unique ceremony which tells their story and saga, to all the special requests from the couple so their union is exactly as they would have imagined it. Each ritual is completely personalized and detailed through conversations between the Godi and the couple.

The Call to the Gods
This is the beginning of the whole ritual. First, the Godi calls out to the gods in Asgard, offering offerings to them one by one. Without the blessing of the gods, one cannot carry out the marriage ritual. With verses dedicated to each one, their favor is requested so that they bestow their virtues on the couple who wish to unite until Valhalla. Each couple can choose, if they wish, which gods they can call on, be it Odin, Thor, Freya, Balder and so on amongst the many who inhabit Asgard, each with their unique blessing, which will pave the journey the couple is about to take., whether it may be the beginning of a marriage or the celebration of a long-lasting one. These gods will be offered mead, fresh fruit, symbols, statuettes, or objects of spiritual value. In this way, it is ensured that they are satisfied and that, thus, the ritual can proceed.

The Call to the Spirits
Once the blessing of the gods has been obtained, one must travel the path that unites the different worlds that exist in Yggrasil. It is time then to call the spirits and elementals, which helped the gods to create the world we know: fire, earth, air and water. In the sacred circle of runes, we call each element to come from the different cardinal points. In this way, one by one, we offer the spirits and elementals an offering so that they may be appeased and bring prosperity to the life of the couple.

The Offering
Once the gods, spirits and elementals have given their blessing, it is time for the couple to make their exchange of offerings. Objects of great sentimental and spiritual value are exchanged to, once again, reaffirm their intentions between the two souls who wish to unite.
The Union Finally, the union ritual is carried out, where the rings brought by an eagle will be put on and, in this way and with the final words of the Godi, the couple will be able to kiss and celebrate their already sealed union.
